The Lush Green Spaces of Santa Cruz
January 30, 2023
We love spending our days on the beach, and here in Santa Cruz, there’s no shortage of pristine shoreline to fill your days with fun in the sun. If you’re looking to enjoy even more of nature’s bounty, consider taking a quick drive to one of the many nearby parks and nature reserves in our area. With over 300 acres to explore, Quail Hollow Ranch County Park offers a little something for everyone. You can hike the trails (which range in difficulty from an easy stroll to moderately challenging), ride horses, picnic with friends, wander through the pygmy redwood forest, or explore the surprisingly varied wildlife that inhabits the tiny valley. For a spot that offers an assortment of outdoor games, try DeLaveaga Park, where you’ll find an archery range, bocce ball courts, cycling and hiking trails, a disc golf course, a playground for kids, and plenty of picnic areas. There are many other great options, of course. See the City of Santa Cruz website for a full list of all the best parks, beaches, and green open spaces within easy driving distance of the Dream Inn.
